Birth of the Wub Wub by `jasinski
Jasinski says this about the piece - The robot embodies the hodgepodge nature of Dub-step and sampling in electronic music genres. Bits and pieces of real instruments, layers, jangling juxtapositions. I find pyramids mysterious and compelling. I use them here as a connection to history and fallen empires- that, as observed by Isaac Newton and others, we are standing on the shoulders of giants. The factories represent well.. inane pop music today “polluting culture”The city in the background: the masses of the modern world. The girls here suggesting some kind of priestesses, in my mind, vacillate between muses and producers. I love contrasting the botanical with the mechanized- Here the flowers represent the organic, the natural, the passion that thrives in all kinds of music, or any human creation- even in a computerized world. It’s worth nothing without humanity. The water? Stream of consciousness, inspiration, the spring of creativity that the robot is tapping into.
